All you need for this DIY birthday gift idea are an array of candy bars, a cone made out of cardboard or firm paper, a foot to put the cone in and staples or adhesive tape. Then you start by folding the cone and then secure it with adhesive tape or staples. When this is done you can start by sticking the candy bars on there one by one. Then put the cone on the foot and this tasty do-it-yourself birthday gift is done!
Planters from old floppy disks
There aren’t a lot of situations in which you’ll have a need for those old floppy disks. So you won’t miss them and this makes them great for a DIY birthday gift. A floppy disk is about 5 1/2 inch by 3 1/2 inches, so its size makes for a cute little planter that you can place on a desk, windowsill or shelf in the kitchen.
All you need to craft these gifts are floppy disks, hot glue or glue that dries quickly, some plastic or small containers, soil and plants. You start by gluing the disk sides and putting them together. When they are glued together and all dried up, you can apply the plastic to the inside or place the container inside. Uniquely designed sharpie mugs

To create your own uniquely designed sharpie mugs you’ll need a or multiple white mugs, an oil-based sharpie marker and an oven to bake the mugs in. You can find the mugs in all kinds of stores, but to stay on budget you can check thrift or dollar stores. Next, you take your sharpie and apply your design to the mug. If you haven’t drawn in a while, you can always do a test on paper. Once the drawing is on the mugs you’ll have to let them dry for a few hours, but preferably overnight. This way the pattern won’t dissolve in the wash. If you want to draw over it the next day, be sure to let the mugs dry again. When the mugs are all dried out you bake them in the oven for 30 min at 350 degrees Fahrenheit. Be sure to place the mugs in the oven before you heat it up and to leave them in there all the way until the oven has cooled down. To finish them off you give them a wash and they’re all ready to give!
A tea wreath
This fun DIY birthday gift is an absolute must for the tea lover in your inner circle. This gift gives you the opportunity to give your loved one a whole array of flavors and relaxed moments. Depending on how much you want to spend on this gift you’ll have multiple of flavors of tea to choose from. To be able to make this tea wreath all you’ll need is some cardboard you can cut a circle from, patterned or gift paper, clothespins, hot glue and a ribbon to hang the wreath. First off you’ll hot glue the cardboard together so you’ll have a base to put the clothespins in. Cut the cardboard in the right (circle) shape and cover it with the patterned paper. Next, you’ll want to cut the patterned paper the same size as a clothespin and cover them. Then you can hot glue the clothespins to the wreath, but be sure to keep some room between the clothespins for the teabags. Finally, you can tie the ribbon around the wreath so it’ll hang and add the tea you want to give. Et voila, a colorful and thoughtful birthday gift that you can do yourself.
